Skyline Club Wedding – Erica and Ryan

Erica and Ryan’s wedding day was one for the books. I had a horrible cold thanks to allergies this day and if it was another wedding I might have been miserable but you couldn’t help but be in a good mood thanks to their big smiles that lasted morning to night.

Our day started with the girls all getting hair and makeup done before heading off to the church for the last final details before the ceremony. Their ceremony was held at St Elizabeth Ann Seton Church  and was sweet and perfect for them. After they left the church as husband and wife we headed to Holcomb gardens and around the Indianapolis War Memorial for portraits before their reception.

When we first talked with Ryan and Erica I had told them that the Skyline Club was a bucket list venue for me so I was beyond excited to shoot their reception. The room was so stinkin gorgeous, filled with florals and the best light ever. After dinner (that was so good I got teary eyed, seriously) speeches were made and the pair made their way to the dance floor for their first dance. We headed out for a few last portraits afterwards as the sun lit up downtown Indy perfectly. Upon our return the bouquet and garter were tossed and their dance floor opened up and stayed crazy all night until the very last song.

These two, seriously couldn’t find a better pair and their day was so so so good.

Brown County State Park Wedding – Ashley and Mike

Ashley and Mike were married on a hot May afternoon surrounded by their nearest and dearest in beautiful Brown County State Park. Our day began with the last few touches before a few pre ceremony photos. We headed out to the overlook where their ceremony was to take place as guests filled in and took their seats. The pair laughed their way through their vows and readings. After their first kiss we spent a little time in the wooded areas for some photos of the two of them before heading to their reception in the Abe Martin Lodge. After dinner, speeches, and a little dancing we wrapped up our day with a few last portraits in the courtyard. These two were so laid back and their day was so sweet to shoot.

Shelby and Derek – Engaged

Shelby and Derrick met up with us at Cool Creek Park, which is actually where they got engaged, on a perfect spring evening for their engagement session. We’ve worked with these two before in wedding parties of other weddings so it was pretty sweet to be shooting their engagement photos this time around. After shooting in the woods around the creek we ventured into the field full of daisies as the sunset put on a great show. The last few shots they wore the same sweatshirts Derrick’s parent’s got married in, so dang cute! We are so so excited for next spring to shoot these two again, their wedding is going to be perfect!
