Sam and Nicole are a breath of fresh air. They have this go with the flow attitude that made photographing their wedding day a joy. They were married at First Congregational Church Kokomo, one of the most beautiful, old churches here in Kokomo. The room the ladies got ready in had the most perfect soft light and made Nicole’s veil glow around her. Shane hung out with the guys while they got ready and laughed as a the pants got mixed up and everyone cracked jokes. After getting ready and having a moment together the two of them were ready to commit their lives to each other as Nicole walked down to Sam with megawatt smiles on both their faces. Their ceremony was sweet and simple and before you knew it they were walking down the front steps with guests cheering for them and blowing bubbles as they made their exit in Sam’s dad’s most prized possession. We shot a quick round of portraits with everyone on the steps, I haven’t had a bridal party this fun in quite some time and I was running in the street trying to get the shot while laughing and trying not to get hit by a car. Happy bridal parties always make for a happy photographer. After portraits we headed to the Kokomo Country Club for their reception. The little touches of pink were everywhere and their gorgeous flowers from the ceremony continued on into the reception site (made by the bride’s aunt!). After one of the best meals I’ve eaten in a long time and all the reception fun we headed outside for some final portraits in the dark. Sam and Nicole, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
