O Ace Is Wedding – Tom and Carrie

I had only spoken to Carrie on the phone before we arrived to shoot her and Tom’s wedding as they live in West Virginia and came to Indiana to have a wedding closer to family and friends at O Ace Is in Peru, IN.  I didn’t know what to expect and was blown away by how incredible this wedding day was. Carrie has this infectious happy energy, she is always laughing and smiling and you can’t help to laugh along with her. I have never seen a couple so dang excited to get married. The whole day was filled with the happiest moments, craziest smiles, and incredible outbursts of pure joy. They were literally jumping up and down with excitement through their getting ready, during their ceremony, and basically anytime they looked at each other. The entire venue had so many personal touches that I couldn’t believe it was a destination wedding, custom signs, tons of incredible centerpieces, and so many other adorable rustic details. I’m always so humbled and honored to be able to photograph such an important and incredible day in a couple’s life and it felt so amazing to be given an opportunity from a couple so fun and special as Carrie and Tom without them even meeting us face to face first. From the bottom of my heart thank you Carrie and Tom for being amazing and hilarious and trusting and the most perfect blind date wedding couple two photographers could ask for.

Tressie and Kent – Kokomo Maternity Photography

Tressie contacted me pretty last minute for a maternity session. The day was freezing and perfect for a cuddly session and we had the softest light from the heavy clouds. There’s just something so quiet and serene about a couple so close to becoming 3 and it’s always really amazing to document it. I was so lucky to squeeze them in so last minute and Tressie and Kent welcomed their little girl only 3 days after the shoot!

Claire and Adam – Kokomo Lifestyle Session

Claire emailed me about doing some headshots and a lifestyle session for her blog, the blog bloom, and I was sooo excited! Her blog is all about her life as a country transplant so we went out to their property and hung out with them in their massive yard and sweet garden. The house smelled like salsa as Claire sliced tomatoes from the garden. Afterwards we headed outside in perfect sunset light. We walked the rows of tomatoes, flowers, carrots, and squash. Adam chased after the chickens and we picked herbs. I love being invited into people’s lives to photograph them at home, we had an amazing evening with these two.
