Seiberling Mansion Wedding – Brian and Debbie

Brian and Debbie’s wedding was a bucket list dream come true for me. Ever since I started photographing weddings I have always wanted to shoot one in the Seiberling Mansion in Kokomo. A lot of people get married outside the mansion but it’s rare for someone to get married in it since it’s so small. Brian and Debbie’s intimate wedding fit perfectly in the foyer of the beautiful building. Each little pocket room was filled with chairs and their friends and loved ones, all so excited to see them get married. Brian wrote a beautiful song for Debbie and sang it as she walked down the stairs towards him. These two have something really special together and both are such lovely people. Brian had such a sparkle in his eyes every time he looked upon his gorgeous bride. Their reception was held next door in the Elliot House, another very small but very beautiful wedding venue. Their wedding may have been small but there was so much joy that it felt so big, bursting at the seams even. Congrats Brian and Debbie and thanks for letting us be a part of your amazing day!

Rustic Wedding in Westfield Indiana-Tyler and Faith

This will be a long post because this wedding was a long and incredibly amazing day. We left at the end of the night with blisters on our feet, sore shoulders, and huge smiles on our faces. Tyler and Faith are two of the most genuine, kind people we’ve met and their family welcomed us with open arms. I knew when we shot their engagement session that they would be a blast to work with and it held true.  They held their wedding on a family friend’s property in an old horse barn, the stalls were still there and the whole barn was decorated so perfectly them. There was a million little rustic details like the Jack Daniel’s bottles, wood burned centerpieces, and an incredible chandelier made of twigs and christmas lights.  My favorite detail was their flowers, all dried and handmade and so incredibly beautiful! Their wedding day started with gifts to each other, a string of pearls for Faith and a pistol for Tyler which perfectly suited them. They opted not to see each other before the wedding so Faith’s father had a private first look before the ceremony. Faith looked incredibly gorgeous and you could see how happy and proud her father was of her. They were married in the bright sun under an old tree with so many of their family and friends there to support them. When the ceremony was over we headed to one of the most fun receptions ever. Everyone was on the dance floor all night including their grandparents. Faith’s grandpa was the best dancer ever! The night ended with a rainstorm that showed up at the perfect moment and Tyler and Faith shared a dance under the storm clouds as the night wrapped up. We can’t say enough good things about these two and I am so happy we got to be there on their big day. Thank you so much Faith and Tyler and best wishes!

Oakbrook Church Kokomo Wedding – Jennie and Damon

There tends to be a common theme with weddings, stress.  I did not see any of that while photographing Jennie and Damon’s wedding day. Jennie was calm, collected, and looked so stunning and Damon was smiling so big every time he laid eyes on her. They started the day with a first look together after getting ready. The big windows in Oakbrook Church were the perfect backdrop for them to see each other for the first time that day. We could see their excitement and built off their energy which led to a great day shooting. After their first look and portraits outdoors they were married in an emotional and beautiful ceremony. After their first kiss we started in on the reception in the church’s recreation room catered by Windmill Grill with a gorgeous (and delicious!) wedding cake made by a family friend. Since everything was so laid back and we had so much time I experimented a little with the fairy lights during their first dance and had so much fun shooting the crazy dance party that followed. We ended the night with portraits as the sun was setting on the grounds of the church and bid them farewell with their family and friends. We felt so lucky all day to be able to capture this amazing wedding and meet all the wonderful people who were involved. Thank you Jennie and Damon for having us along, we are so grateful and wish you the best of luck together!
