Lafayette, IN Wedding – Peter and Sasha

Peter and Sasha were married in the sweetest little Catholic church in Delphi and had their reception at The Trails Banquet Facility in Lafayette, IN. The church they were married at is very special to them and their relationship as it’s where they met when they were just kids. Their ceremony was a traditional Catholic full mass and the pews were filled to the brim with friends and family there to witness their vows. Peter and Sasha have a fun dynamic about their relationship, it’s almost like a sitcom where she’s enthused about everything and he’s more go with the flow. We had so much fun with their portraits because we had over an hour to do them on the grounds of the church and the property of The Trails. After dinner and the toasts their guests danced the night away eating pie and cake pops. Thank you Peter and Sasha, for being amazing and for letting us get “a lil weird”.

Brown County Harvest Hall Wedding – Camery and Blake

Camery and Blake were married on a cold, blustery, rainy day on the most beautiful piece of land in Brown County, Indiana. Our day started with us waking up before the sun in a tiny cabin on the campground where their reception was held. We hung out with the girls in a sweet little vacation cabin as they chatted, ate breakfast, and got their hair and makeup done. Shane ventured off to photograph the guys getting ready at Blake’s grandmother’s house which had the most beautiful field in front with hills rolling in fall colors. After everyone was ready they headed to a clearing in the forest on the family’s land and said their vows. Everyone was shaking from the cold but their guests were all there to offer their support and love. Their reception was  in the Harvest Hall at the campground at Explore Brown County and was so welcoming and warm for everyone after the outdoor ceremony. Thank you Camery and Blake for letting us into your lives and seeing such a beautiful area of Indiana in the fall.

Kokomo Country Club Wedding – Sam and Nicole

Sam and Nicole are a breath of fresh air. They have this go with the flow attitude that made photographing their wedding day a joy. They were married at First Congregational Church Kokomo, one of the most beautiful, old churches here in Kokomo. The room the ladies got  ready in had the most perfect soft light and made Nicole’s veil glow around her. Shane hung out with the guys while they got ready and laughed as a the pants got mixed up and everyone cracked jokes. After getting ready and having a moment together the two of them were ready to commit their lives to each other as Nicole walked down to Sam with megawatt smiles on both their faces. Their ceremony was sweet and simple and before you knew it they were walking down the front steps with guests cheering for them and blowing bubbles as they made their exit in Sam’s dad’s most prized possession. We shot a quick round of portraits with everyone on the steps, I haven’t had a bridal party this fun in quite some time and I was running in the street trying to get the shot while laughing and trying not to get hit by a car. Happy bridal parties always make for a happy photographer. After portraits we headed to the Kokomo Country Club for their reception. The little touches of pink were everywhere and their gorgeous flowers from the ceremony continued on into the reception site (made by the bride’s aunt!). After one of the best meals I’ve eaten in a long time and all the reception fun we headed outside for some final portraits in the dark. Sam and Nicole, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
