Factory 12 Event Loft Wedding – Jenna and Nick

Jenna and Nick planned their classy, 1920’s inspired wedding to take place on New Year’s Eve and it couldn’t have been prettier. We started shooting as they shared their first look and a few portraits in Hotel Indigo Columbus before heading to the park across the street for portraits in the winter woods. Their portraits were so cuddly as it was freezing outside and we rushed off to Factory 12 Event Loft afterwards to prepare for their ceremony. The loft was such a perfect backdrop for their nuptials and an awesome venue to shoot in. Once guests began to take their seats Jenna walked down the aisle to Nick and their daughter to say their vows. Once the ceremony was wrapped up guests enjoyed a popcorn and cigar bar before the pair made their entrance to the reception. Following cake, speeches, and their first dance; the dance floor opened and since it was NYE it was full of people ready to party. We wrapped up late in the evening after such a perfect day. We rarely do winter weddings anymore (I hate being cold!) but this one was so worth it and we had an absolute blast with these two!

Mounds State Park Wedding – Rachel and Alex

When you have two biologists and the most perfect fall day to shoot you know it’s going to be a good one. The weeks leading up to Rachel and Alex’s wedding we were sure it would be a mostly indoor affair, after all the weekend before Halloween is typically pretty chilly and usually rains so when we woke up to perfect skies and balmy temps we were so excited. We arrived at Mounds as their families were adding the finishing touches to the flowers that Rachel’s mom grew just for her and origami that Rachel folded herself. After Rachel and Alex shared their first look we did portraits around the shelter while the trails were packed with people out enjoying the gorgeous weather. The guests began to arrive for the ceremony and the canopy of fall leaves couldn’t have been more perfect to exchange vows under. After their first kiss the two greeted their guests in a receiving line as they made their way to enjoy cocktails and frisbee games before the reception began. After heartfelt speeches by their nearest and dearest the pair shared their first dance before opening the dance floor. Because this was the week before Halloween costumes were a given. The theme of the wedding was migration and the costumes were all clever migratory animal costumes, some of which had us cracking up. It’s not every wedding you have a groom dressed as a hammer head shark or a bride as a pelican! We wrapped up as the dance floor got crazier and the sky turned inky black. This wedding was so sweet, personal, and homey; the perfect way to end the wedding season.

Kelley Agriculture Museum Kokomo Wedding – Alyssa and Brad

We started this windy, warm, October wedding meeting up with Alyssa and her bridesmaids and daughter before the ceremony while they got their hair done. Early as it was, sprits were high and everyone has laughing and excited for the day. After each curl was perfect the group headed to the Kelley Agricultural Historical Museum where the rest of the wedding day was to take place. Once dresses were zipped and boutonnieres pinned we did a few portraits with the girls and guys before the ceremony was to begin. The sunny ceremony was followed by group shots and portraits of their new family of three before the reception got underway. After dinner we snuck out for a few more photos of the two of them as the sun set and headed back for speeches and their first dance before the party got started as the sun slipped below the horizon and continued on as the stars came out and the pair shared their last dance under the inky black sky. These two are sweet as pie and their wedding was the most perfect fall day.
