Courtyard Marriott Lafayette IN Wedding – Courtney and Madden

Courtney and Madden were married on a warm, early fall day at the Courtyard Marriott in Lafayette. Courtney wanted a little bit spooky wedding which meant lots of dark purples and sweet but not scary details throughout. After getting ready the two shared a first look before walking down the aisle and exchanging vows. Afterwards we headed out to the courtyard to do a few portraits before their reception. After dinner their dances started and Courtney and Madden swayed in a cloud of smoke. We ventured outside once the cake was cut for a few more portraits as the sun set and the heat passed. The bouquet toss was followed by the shoe game and their dance floor opened with friends and family having a blast. This was such a sweet wedding and the loveliest way to end September.

Mustard Seed Gardens Wedding – Spencer and Lyndsay

Spencer and Lyndsay’s wedding was my most favorite kind of wedding. Simple, laid back, and sweet with so much meaning in every little detail. We arrived just as Lyndsay was putting on her mother’s wedding dress before she walked down the aisle to an ecstatic Spencer. After their vows under the shade of a gorgeous, old tree in front of their nearest and dearest we shot portraits in the hazy September sun before their reception started. Instead of doing a formal entrance they greeted each guest as they entered the Mustard Seed Gardens barn, such a lovely way to greet each guest. Each table had photos of the two of them at the same age as the table number and sweet little facts about them and their relationship (not to mention the best dang wedding favor of all time, the insanely delicious sugared walnuts Lyndsay and her mom made for the occasion, good lord I could write a whole blog post about them!!!) Dinner was served after everyone was seated followed by a sweet speech from Lyndsay’s father and cutting their beautiful cake. After their first dance and parent dances the guests took to the dance floor and we wrapped up our evening shooting a few more portraits as the sun made its way to the horizon. This was such a special and beautiful day and we were over the moon working with these two!

Brown County Wedding – Tori and Steve

We’ve been heading down south quite a bit this year and Tori and Steve’s day was a perfect Brown County day. They held their wedding on a friend’s property next to the gorgeous Lake Lemon. The ground was a little muddy and the air muggy from the previous day’s storm but it was nothing a little plywood and happy dispositions couldn’t fix. And happy dispositions were abound. After getting ready the pair shared the sweetest first look and we shot their couple’s portraits around the heavy greenery surrounding the property. Guests began to arrive and they exchanged vows under a big shade tree and we headed off to the reception. Their reception decor was AMAZING, probably one of my most favorites. Tori and her mom did all the flowers themselves and I even have one of the succulent favors sitting on my kitchen sink! I haven’t killed it yet! After cutting their cake and their first dance everyone enjoyed an incredible hog roast dinner before we headed out to catch the last light of day for a few more portraits. After speeches and parent dances the dance floor opened up and we wrapped up our day while the music was going strong and the dancing probably lasted all night. I can’t say enough about these two and their perfect day. The warmest, sweetest pair ever and we spent this whole day loving every second.
