This wedding, it was just…so so good. No other way to describe it. The girls were finishing getting ready as we arrived and there was already so much laughter, joy, and emotions running on high. After everyone had their dresses zipped we ventured out for bridal portraits in the MOST PERFECT light, cloudy but bright. I could have taken bridals of Amanda all day long, seriously she was so stunning that I was getting teary from excitement. Amanda wrote sweet letters to her mom, new mother in law, and Matt which everyone read and tears were flowing. Diamonds and Dust is a huge property so the guys headed out to the cabin to hang out before the festivities were to begin and Shane followed along. As the guests began to arrive the clouds rolled in and the gorgeous ceremony site was soon under a down pour. Everyone ran to the barn where the ceremony was quickly shifted. The ceremony was so cozy and intimate with everyone hanging over the balconies and squeezed tight in the barn. The rain stopped right after they were announced as husband and wife (of course!) so were happily ventured outside for portraits while steam clung to the trees in the distance. After we wrapped up portraits the reception began with speeches followed by their first dance. The mother son dance was especially emotional as Matt’s mom had recently suffered a bike accident leaving her unsure if she’d be able to dance with him at all. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house (mine included) as they danced together, just as she had hoped. After the bouquet and garter toss the dance floor opened up and it was so dang fun to shoot, everyone was in party mode and they went nuts all night, punctuated by the sweetest dance between Amanda and her mom.
Amanda and Matt have the biggest hearts of anyone I’ve ever met and their wedding was one I’ll remember fondly as one of our very best.
