Kelley Round Barn Wedding – Lanie and Brad

Lanie and Brad’s gorgeous wedding day was held at the always charming Kelley Agriculture Historical Museum here in Kokomo. The day began with the pair getting ready on separate floors of the farm house, one of my favorite getting ready spots for the perfect lighting! After exchanging letters and sharing a moment around a corner Lanie walked down the aisle to the sweetest reaction from Brad. When their ceremony was sealed with a kiss we spent a bit taking portraits around the grounds which were covered in late summer blooms before their reception entrance. After dinner and chatting with guests we ventured out for a few last portraits in the bean field with the setting sun at their backs. Their reception continued on as the sun set with their first dances and a wild open dance floor. We had a forecast of rain all day and not a drop fell until the evening ended, perfectly perfect.

Mill Top Noblesville Wedding – Katie and Ray

I know as wedding photographers we shouldn’t play favorites but you can’t help it when you experience a day like Katie and Ray’s. I knew from the start we’d have an incredible time shooting their wedding as Katie was a bridesmaid in one of the craziest weddings we’ve shot and their wedding did not disappoint. We started the day with the crew getting ready at Mill Top which was so much fun to shoot as everyone was having a blast right from the start. After the dresses and tuxes were on we headed to the ceremony at Holy Spirit at Geist. They had a beautiful full mass ceremony and once they sealed it with their first kiss we headed to a local park with a carousel to take a few photos before heading back to Mill Top for their reception. I love love love Mill Top, one of the most unique and stunning venues in the Indy area and Katie and Ray did an incredible job making it look incredibly glamorous. I mean, just look at their cake! After dinner, speeches, and first dances we headed out to the roof top terrace to soak in the last bit of sunshine before heading back down to the party. Hands down they had the craziest dance party ever, they even had a guy spitting fire at one point!, and they danced until the very very end. Katie and Ray and their crew were so so fun and we can’t believe our luck that it’s our job to spend days with amazing people at incredible parties like this one!

Lighthouse Lodge Wedding – Janet and Josh

When we start shooting the first thing we do is detail shots and you know when you pull out the bride’s dress and it’s bright blue you’re in for a crazy treat. Janet and Josh’s wedding was exactly that. There was so much to this wedding that was unlike anything we’ve seen before and after 50 some weddings that’s rare!  Janet got ready at the venue and Josh at their lakehouse nearby so Josh and crew headed to the ceremony by boat and arrived to cheers from their guests. They held their ceremony on the lawn of Lighthouse Lodge, and even though it was sprinkling they did it outside anyways much to our delight. Their ceremony was so unique and even had a ring bear to bring them their rings. After saying their I do’s the pair ran back down the aisle while their friend played Pantera on a Dime Bag flying V! The rain held off enough for portraits around the lodge before heading into the reception for speeches (in the form of gangsta raps no less), cake, and dances. Their friends played acoustic sets for everyone as the sky turned dark and fireworks began going off. This is hands down one of the most fun weddings we’ve been a part of and we can’t thank these two enough for having us a long for the wild ride!
